We’re thrilled to about our Reverb program, designed to help our clients on an individual basis to transition back into the workforce after experiencing homelessness. Just as our shelter-to-housing model emphasizes gradual steps, Reverb offers tailored support for clients adjusting to work life and giving them necessary skills to use beyond the program.

Reverb is designed to support individuals who have recently been stabilized in shelter or are newly housed, and who face significant barriers to re-entering the workforce. This program specifically targets individuals who may have challenges such as criminal records, difficulty maintaining standard work hours, or limited abilities that make it harder for them to meet typical employment standards.

Reverb's primary focus is on providing practical skill development in areas like culinary arts, and day labor such as shoveling snow or cleaning up community spaces. By teaching these skills, the program helps participants build confidence, gain work experience, and prepare for sustainable employment in the future. It creates a supportive environment that allows individuals to gradually reintegrate into the workforce while overcoming the personal and societal challenges they may face.

Additionally, Henning enhances the Reverb program by ensuring that clients have reliable transportation to and from their work sites and that their work schedules are adhered to. Because Henning oversees both housing and shelter sites, the additional layer of accountability for making sure people get to work on time is an added benefit. This added support helps address one of the common barriers to employment, namely reliable commuting, adds an extra layer of accountability for the participants.

By focusing on both skills development and logistical support, the program aims to help individuals build a solid work history. The ultimate goal is to support them in becoming self-sufficient through consistent employment, fostering personal growth, and helping them transition into stable, long-term careers.
